Jennifer is the Founder of Downingtown/Kennett Nutrition & Weight Management Centers. Jennifer has worked in community nutrition and weight management for over 18 years and is committed to improving the health of the community using a holistic approach. She specializes in weight management, disordered eating, sports nutrition health disparities, women’s health and diabetes. Her work in community nutrition and weight management has earned her esteemed honors at the federal and state levels, leading to numerous grants that have allowed her to conduct important work in the public health sector.Her many professional accomplishments include Certified Diabetes Educator, Delegate for the Diabetes and Education Dietetic Practice Group, Member Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, Past President, Delaware Dietetic Association, Young Dietitian of the Year, Outstanding Dietitian of the Year, Pediatric and Adolescent Weight Management Certification and Adjunct Instructor, West Chester University. Jennifer is currently sitting for the Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics exam!

Becky is a mind-body dietitian and yoga teacher with close to 20 years of experience in nutrition, food, and counseling. She helps clients find body positivity, self-love, and enjoyment of food and movement to create a more balanced, joyful life. She provides clients with the tools to incorporate mindful and intuitive eating to find food freedom and have a better relationship with their bodies. Becky loves to incorporate her passions for food, cooking, gardening, yoga, meditation, and meaningful human connection.
She has extensive clinical experience in acute care, outpatient counseling, teaching nutrition to students, interns, and aspiring healthcare practitioners, and providing Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to a variety of populations. She takes a personalized approach to nutrition and wellness. She helps clients improve health outcomes related to chronic conditions such as emotional eating, stress eating, prediabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, weight management and chronic inflammation.
Becky’s education includes M.A., Nutrition Education, Immaculata University, 2009; Dietetic Internship, Immaculata University, 2004; B.S., Nutrition & Dietetics, West Chester University, 2003; and RYT, Registered Yoga Teacher (200 hrs), 2021.

Leslie Kubera, MA, RDN, LDN

Leslie Kubera has her undergraduate degree in Nutrition Science from Pennsylvania State University. She went on to get her Master’s Degree in Nutrition Education at Immaculata University, while working on her Nutrition Therapy Internship at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is certified in both Adult and Adolescent/Childhood Weight Management. Leslie is an adjunct faculty member at Immaculata University, where she teaches a Nutrition Science course to undergraduate and graduate students. Leslie specializes in all things gut health! She helps our clients figure out food intolerances and why they may be having GI disturbances. In addition to GI health, Leslie has expertise in eating disorder health and recovery. She currently is the head Registered Dietitian at Buttonwood’s Adult and Adolescent IOP in Downingtown, PA.

Emily Thompson, RDN, LDN

Emily is a past dietetic intern at Downingtown/Kennett Nutrition & Weight Management Centers and has worked with us previously focusing on weight management, community nutrition, and sports nutrition. She earned an undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and is completeing a Master’s in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine at the University of Western States. Emily specializes in weight management, menopause, hormone balance, diabetes, and thyroid disease.

Matt Jones, RDN, LDN
Registered Dietitian
Sports Nutrition and Men’s Health Specialties
Matt is a Registered Dietitian specializing in Performance Nutrition for athletes and he also focuses on Men’s Health. He offers nutrition consultations to both fitness exercisers and competitive athletes, coaching them on strategies to fuel the body with whole foods and embrace health and wellness as a lifestyle! Matt teaches athletes how to balance nutrition, exercise, stress, and rest to optimize performance and achieve results, based on individualized goals and needs. He wants his athletes to enjoy favorites while still reaching goals and maintaining balance. As a father, a current high school soccer coach for the past 9 years, he has personal experience applying evidence-based fueling strategies in simple and practical ways.
Matt has over 15 years of clinical-acute healthcare experience and is also passionate about helping his clients improve health related to chronic conditions such as prediabetes, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, heart disease, weight management and chronic inflammation.
Matt’s education includes Dietetic Internship, University of Delaware, 2008; B.S., Nutrition & Dietetics, West Chester University, 2007; Nationally Certified Personal Trainer (ISSA), Certified Massage Therapist -720 hrs.- 2003 and Thai Massage Certified Practitioner, 2004. Matt is currently studying to become a Board-Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics.

Marie Carol, CPT
Marie is our Certified Fitness Trainer and Office Manager at Downingtown/Kennett Nutrition. She has worked in various office settings over the years. Marie started her personal training career in 2014 after obtaining her certification with the American Council of Exercise (ACE). Her love of helping others achieve their fitness goals started with simply learnin g to help herself. Being diagnosed with type II diabetes as a teenager forced Marie to learn how to eat and exercise in order to maintain her sugar levels. In 2016, she trained for and completed her first Ballpark Spartan Obstacle Race. Marie understands the importance of setting a goal, seeing what it will take to obtain that goal, and working towards tackling it. She enjoys teaching clients new ways of exercising using the TRX suspension straps, kettle bells, and full body weight exercises. Marie believes in training for function, obtaining goals, and developing a healthy lifestyle.
She enjoys traveling, all things Disney, being at the beach, kayaking and fishing.
